How This Started

The idea for this site came from a fairly ordinary frustration: most online advice about staying mobile after forty was either written by someone selling a programme, or lifted wholesale from one article to the next without anyone checking whether the claims actually held up. We wanted something closer to a trustworthy local physiotherapist's advice, written down properly.

So the first move was practical rather than ambitious: find a small number of contributors who actually work with movement and nutrition day to day, pair every draft with a second, named reviewer, and refuse to publish a piece faster than that process allows.

That has stayed the shape of the operation since. There is no sponsored content, no anonymous bylines, and no claim that isn't attributed to a named person or a public source. When something turns out to be wrong, we say so and fix it, which has happened and will happen again.

How We Keep Articles Accurate

Every draft goes through a second, named editor who checks sourcing and plain language before it is published. If a reader flags something afterwards, we correct it within 30 days and note the change at the bottom of the piece.

Independence

No sponsored mentions appear inside an article, so a recommendation reflects what the writer actually uses or has seen work.

Clarity

Jargon gets explained the first time it appears, on the assumption that a reader shouldn't need a medical dictionary to follow along.

Accountability

Every piece carries a named writer and reviewer, and corrections are logged rather than quietly edited away.
